Set up the GitHub Action and start a run against a repository. Watch the Quickstart walkthrough

Requirements

You need GitHub repository access and a supported model provider. The action uses your repository’s GitHub Actions environment and configured credentials.

1. Connect

Open Studio Quickstart to connect GitHub and your model provider. Open Studio Quickstart

2. Set up a repository

Choose a prepared example or a repository you control. Studio installs the workflow. From the terminal, init defaults to --mode auto: after confirmation, it merges the setup PR and starts the first run. Choose --mode review to review the setup PR before merging.

3. Start or dispatch a run

Use Studio’s run control when the run has not started. A prepared example can start from an existing draft; your own repository runs against its available context. The default CLI setup already dispatches the first run. To start another run, sign in with GitHub CLI and trigger it manually.
Trigger another run
If GitHub CLI is not authenticated, run gh auth login before triggering.

4. Review the outcome

Open GitHub Actions to inspect execution and checks. A run may leave a draft PR, Issue, branch, or skip publication. Follow the specific artifact to review the implementation.
