Choose a model

Connect a supported provider in Studio or use an eligible Remyx-funded allowance. The model selected for a task depends on the documented precedence rules. Your own provider bills calls using your key. Hosted validation compute and applicable Remyx-funded model calls use Validate credits on paid runs. Connect a provider under Studio → Connectors → LLM providers. Select a default or repository-specific model under Studio → Account → Validate.

How a model is chosen

The configured precedence determines which model a task uses. Review the ordered rules below when an explicit preference does not take effect.

Allowances

The first eligible validation may use a Remyx-funded model without connecting your own provider. Availability and caps apply. This is not an unlimited, permanent model allowance.

Precedence and allowance reference

The first source that names a provider wins. Two rules at the end of the chain:
  • Several providers connected and no default: Validate will not pick one. It asks you to choose under Account → Validate. One connected provider is a choice; two is a question.
  • Nothing connected: the first run designs on a Remyx-funded model. Connecting your own key takes over from the next mention.
The key is probed with one call before the run starts. A key with no credit or a rejected key is refused at start and nothing is used; the reply names the fix. The same applies to a rate limit and to the funded cap. The Remyx-funded allowance applies only when no provider is connected and only on the free validation. Code defaults, which production may override: On a paid run, funded model calls are priced into the debit at list price times the platform multiplier; calls on your own key are never charged.
